We’ve just had the entire roof replaced during the worst weather of the year, but Matt and the team went over and above to complete the works despite the challenges of the weather. Although uncovering unforeseen issues needing significant work Matt stuck to the original quote as ‘had to have peace of mind this roof will beat the worst of the weather for 25 years and beyond” – their workmanship is first class and a pleasure to have around – polite , professional and 100% trusted. Can you get roofs replaced cheaper ? – of course, but if cost is your only driver then good luck! – if you want 100% peace of mind for years to come then use Matt / Duchess – we did and very pleased and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his company. Your house is probably your most expensive asset you’ll own – so get the best to work on the roof above it ! Did the job properly, to the highest of standards, and went the extra mile to sort other potential problems they found along the way, whilst remaining within the original quote. New Roof Matt and his brother Pete are the nicest, most honest tradesmen you will ever meet. They are both professional, polite and meticulous with their work. Excellent Service Matt and Pete were outstanding, top notch in providing an excellent service, for the job done on our fascia boards, guttering, chimney and porch. They were so professional, hardworking and brilliant, it was not easy when the temperature was 25-32c even in the shade, the result was a job well done. For all Roofing Problems- Call The Best, Duchess Roofing Specialists! I had a leak under the solar panels with water coming in. Temporary fix until contacted Matt at Duchess Roofing. Matt gave an excellent detailed quote and
listed the works to be done. Matt, Pete and Fletch arrived at 08:30 every day cheerful and engaging. Removed the solar panels and cleaned them. Removed the bitumen felt completely discarded the old battens. Kept me fully briefed on the work with meticulous attention to detail. Replaced all the lead with new welded gullies. New top quality Roof Lining and red battens every tile was cleaned and checked, any Damaged tiles were replaced. New ridge tiles fitted, even put new soil pipe cap and replaced the lead. Superb bunch of professional guys even brought their own kettle and makings. Cleaned the site down daily including sweeping back and front and taking the rubbish away. Advised me on the lack of chimney cowl and fitted quality stainless steel cowl. Even replaced 10 tiles on the lower roof over the porch where the scaffolders had broken them without any extra charge. Would recommend Duchess Roofing Specialists if you want a quality roof repair from friendly skilled top notch roofers who pride themselves on their work ethic and attention to detail. You only want a roof repairs once so use the best first time – for me that’s Duchess Roofing Specialists.

Living in Saltash we were already aware of Duchess Roofing’s reputation. We live in a terraced house with a complex roof that needed complete replacement. It was a big job and we were understandably anxious that it was done well.
From the first time we met Matt, he put us at ease. He explained in detail the process of constructing the roof and the steps involved. We received a detailed quote discussing all our options.
Having decided to go ahead, Matt and Pete arrived and started work when we had agreed. Their professionalism and motivation was immediately apparent. Each step was undertaken with care and skill. Our property threw up a few surprises as we were warned it might. These were each dealt with carefully after a full discussion with us. The final result is a beautiful roof which is completely secure and clearly shows good workmanship. They treated our home as though it were their own and put great care into the details.
Matt and Pete were a pleasure to have around. They were thoughtful and considerate of us as homeowners and left the site completely clean when work was complete. We really couldn’t have hoped for better. We’d recommend them wholeheartedly and have them back to work for us again without hesitation.

Great communication from start to end of job. Matt always let’s you know how the job is progressing. We’ve had our our old chimney dismantled and had a brand new one built. Workmanship is of an excellent standard. Highly recommended.

Best Velux window fitters in the business Very experienced, tidy and honest grafters. Provided everything we required from information/quotes on the windows, scaffolding and roofing materials required. And then went the extra mile and fixed outstanding issues with the roof while they were installing the windows.
Highly recommended to anybody who requires any roofing work and will definitely be using them again in the future.
